“In a world forcefed bad news to make its citizenry pessimistic and cynical so that they will be good consumers, let’s turn the tide and begin telling the stories of the great things that are happening all around the world.”

                                                                                                                                                    Paraphrased from Patch Adams

Is there truth to the above statement, are we encouraged to be pessimistic and cynical and how then does that make us good consumers?  If this is true, then let’s tell the other stories, stories that will change the world.  Start a blog, or comment here, share the world changing stories.

Jell-O

Jello Logo

We had canned pears for dinner tonight.  It made me think of when my mom used to put pears in lime Jello-O.  We had Jell-O as a part of dinner at least once a week.  Never plain, always with fruit in it.  Cherry with fruit-cocktail, strawberry with bananas, orange with…mandarin oranges.  Did you ever pull out the leftover Jell-O a few days later and it was runny?  We had a special Jell-O dish that my mom always made it in.  And then we’d put plastic wrap on the top of the dish and put it in the fridge to enjoy delicious Jell-O all week!

Does anyone still make Jell-O, besides the cafeterial style restaurants that only senior citizens go to?  Is Jell-O disappearing from dinner tables across America?

Share your Jell-O stories here and help keep Jell-O alive!
